Smart Card
Smart cards are card-type smart terminals with built-in microchips.
They can be categorized by chip type (memory cards, logic encryption cards, CPU cards) and by power supply method (active cards and passive cards).
The passive smart card readers are powered by external sensors and do not require an internal battery (e.g., ordinary transportation cards, access cards).
The active smart cards have built-in power supplies, some with displays and buttons, requiring only an internal battery for continuous power. Examples include visual bank cards, BLE active personnel positioning cards, electronic hardware wallets, electronic employee badges, and IoT sensor smart cards.
